Summary
Androgen receptor (AR) plays a prominent role in folliculogenesis and steroidogenesis, as well as ensuring the responsiveness to luteinising hormone (LH) surge in granulosa cells. The irregular elevation of canonical ligands for AR can induce polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in animal models and is a clinical diagnostic indicator of PCOS in women. To determine the interrelationship between different steroid receptors in the ovarian context, we generated comprehensive AR cistrome datasets from granulosa cells of mice that were wildtype of knockout for progesterone receptor (PGRO) in response to in vivo LH stimulus.
