4. File Storage & Retention
Files uploaded to BioTransfer are stored securely on Cloudflare R2 cloud storage. Files are automatically
deleted after their expiration period (default: 2 days for free users). We do not access, read, or
analyze the content of your files.

We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Essential cookies — Required for the service to function properly.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site.

controls. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) Technology
BioTransfer employs a strict "Zero-Knowledge" client-side End-to-End Encryption (E2EE) architecture
powered
by the native Web Crypto API. This technical implementation ensures:
- Military-Grade Primitives — All files are encrypted using AES-GCM
256-bit encryption, the global standard for secure data.
- Local Key Generation — Encryption keys are generated locally within your browser's
secure environment and never leave your machine.
- Zero-Knowledge Fragment Storage — The unique decryption key is stored only in the
URL Hash/Fragment (the part after the
#). Browsers technically
cannot send this fragment to our servers, ensuring we never receive your keys.
- Chunked Encryption — Data is encrypted in chunks before being streamed to
enterprise-grade R2 storage. Each chunk includes its own unique Initialization Vector (IV) and
Integrity Tag to prevent tampering.
By design, BioTransfer is technically excluded from accessing your data. Even if our servers were
compromised, the files would remain useless ciphertext without the keys held exclusively by you and your
recipients.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data.
- Request deletion of your personal data.
- Opt out of personalized advertising.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
